CLUB UPDATES

The Men's Pairs kicked off over the weekend, and all the results are available on the Castle Hill website! The Women's Pairs will start on Thursday, 20th February, with some exciting matchups in the first round.

Congratulations to Roger Newman, who has been selected to represent the Region 10 Veteran Inter-Region Championship side at Scone Bowling Club on the 19th and 20th of March! Roger will also be joining Gerard Harkins and Lan Lim at St. Ives in the Metro Quadrangular Series on the 2nd of March. Well done to Roger, Gerard, and Lan on this fantastic achievement! We're proud to see our players competing at such high levels - best of luck to you all!

The Men's Triple nomination sheet is now up on the board, with entries closing on the 28th of February. This year, the competition has been moved to Friday afternoons at 4:00 PM to accommodate the delay in bringing in the back green. We understand this may not suit everyone, but in order to keep things running smoothly and ensure all competitions are played, we've had to make a few adjustments. The competition will also be shortened to 21 ends and can be rescheduled with the approval of the Match Committee. We expect it to return to its usual schedule next season.

The Match Committee bids farewell to Darren Lethlean and thanks him for his time with the committee. We wish him all the best in his new role and location.

With Darren's departure and the heavy workload over the next six months, the committee requested that the BAC seek expressions of interest for the position and consider expanding the committee size. Following last Tuesday's BAC meeting, the Match Committee is exciting to welcome Warren Whyte and Joy McCossen to the team. They will begin 'on-the-job' training immediately, so please give them a warm welcome and support as they learn the ropes.
