The Bowlo is the home of Lawn Bowls, your local Sporting Club and has a Fully Licensed Function Centre

Castle Hill Bowling Club is the friendliness Club in the Hills area. Bring your friends, family or fellow workers along for a fun game of barefoot bowls, enjoy a cold drink at the bar and a great meal in our Bistro. We also offer a large function room catering for up to 220 guests with fixed price catering and drinks packages available.

  • Mondays - Closed

  • Tuesdays 12 noon to 7pm 

  • Wednesdays from 12 noon to 7pm

  • Thursdays from 12 noon to 7pm

  • Fridays from 2pm to 9pm

  • Saturdays from 11.30am to 7.30pm

  • Sundays from 12noon to 7.00pm

NOTICE TO MEMBERS REGARDING PROPOSED AMALGAMATION AND EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST AND UNSOLICITED MERGER OFFERS

Pursuant to Section 17AE of the Registered Clubs Act and Clause 4(5) of the Registered Clubs Regulation, the members of Castle Hill Bowling Club Ltd (Bowling Club) are hereby notified that:

 

  1. On 8 March 2021, Castle Hill RSL Club Ltd (CHRG) called for expressions of interest in amalgamation from clubs within a radius of fifty (50) kilometres of the CHRG (EOI).

  2. The Bowling Club lodged an expression of interest in amalgamation with the CHRG in response to the EOI.

  3. Following extensive negotiations, the Boards of both clubs have now agreed to commercial terms and to proceed with an amalgamation and have incorporated the terms in a Memorandum of Understanding in accordance with the law (MOU) and a Deed of Amalgamation (Deed).

  4. CHRG will be the continuing club in the amalgamation and the Bowling Club will be the dissolving club in the amalgamation.

  5. A copy of the MOU and Deed will be available for members to download on the Club’s website www.castlehillbc.com.au and hardcopies from the office, upon request.

  6. Each Club has to convene separate general meetings for members to vote on the proposed amalgamation.

  7. A Notice of General Meeting will be sent to members so that it is received at least twenty (21) clear days before the General Meeting. A copy of the Notice of General Meeting will also be displayed on the Club’s noticeboard and on the Club’s website.

  8. The Bowling Club has not received any other unsolicited merger offers during the previous twelve (12) months.

Barefoot bowls & Functions

We'll take care of your event at the Castle Hill Bowling Club

Our function hall caters for up to 220 people. A stage, dance floor, audio visual systems and a variety of seating and table layouts. 

Weddings, 21st, parties, anniversaries, birthdays, wakes and barefoot bowls - we do it all.

The Club can stay open for functions until 1am any night of the week.
