CLUB UPDATES

Best of Luck, Steve!

After being selected in the Bioscapes NSW Blues Senior Men’s Team earlier this year, Steve Vanderveer is now just days away from representing NSW against Victoria.

Steve will head to Deer Park Bowling Club next Monday, 17 August, for the first of a three-match interstate series, with the series continuing across 17–18 August.

It’s a fantastic achievement and a huge honour for Steve and Castle Hill Bowling Club, and we know he’ll represent NSW and the Club with pride.

Best of luck, Steve! Everyone at Castle Hill Bowling Club will be cheering you on as you take on Victoria.

Lan Lim at Australian Indoor Championships

Massive congratulations to Lan Lim, who took on the Australian Indoor Singles earlier this week.

Lan faced WA State player Deb Saunders in a tough battle. The match went all the way to a tiebreak, with Lan narrowly going down.

A fantastic effort from Lan to make it through to the National Finals. Well done, Lan!

Living Choice Castle Hill Carnival

The annual Living Choice Castle Hill Carnival returns on Monday, 24 August, and entries are filling fast! There are only a limited number of spots remaining, so don't leave it too late to secure your place.

Entry sheets and all the event information can be found on the noticeboard at the club.

We look forward to another fantastic day of bowls!

Twilight Pairs

With everything happening at the moment and plenty of bowls on, we're going to skip this fortnight's Twilight Pairs.

But we'll be back bigger and better on Friday 28 August, with a brand-new format and a new start time of 4:30pm.

Make sure you get your name in for next fortnight!

Parking at the Front of CHBC

Just a quick reminder regarding parking at the front of the Club.

A message has been sent to Castle Hill High School regarding students using the three regular parking spaces along the front fence of the Club.

Please also note that the accessible parking spaces out the front are available to anyone displaying a valid disability parking permit. These spaces cannot be restricted to specific members or users.

The two drop-off spaces out the front are for dropping off or picking up bowls only, with a maximum stay of 5 minutes. Please ensure these spaces are kept clear for their intended purpose.

Club Uniform During Championships

Please remember that full Club uniform should be worn during all Club Championship events. This includes the new Chargers hoodies, which are approved Club bowls wear.

If you’re unsure about what is considered approved Club uniform, please reach out to William for guidance.
