FACILITIES UPDATES

We wanted to provide everyone with an update on the upcoming sealing works to the new concrete areas around the club and, importantly, how this will affect access to the greens and clubhouse over the next week.

Bowls Storage

During this period, your bowls will be stored in the storage room in the Ladies Changeroom of the Auditorium from Thursday afternoon.

Friday 28 August

The bottom stairs will be closed off, with access to the club through the front doors only.

There will be no bowls until 3:00pm while the pressure washing is underway.

The clubhouse will be fully operational all day.

Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 August

The club and greens will be fully operational over the weekend.

Please note that there will be no seating available in the affected areas, and everyone is asked to take extra care when moving around the club, particularly following the pressure washing of the new surfaces.

Monday 31 August

The club will be closed as normal on Mondays.

Tuesday 1 September

Access will be restricted while further works take place.

• The bottom stairs will be closed off.

• Access to the club will be through the front doors only.

• There will be no access to the undercover green.

• Bowls will be played on the grass green only, using the East/West direction.

• Access to the grass green will be via the main road.

• The walkway directly in front of the club will also be closed.

Wednesday 2 September

The same access restrictions will remain in place on Wednesday.

We will also have two Midweek Pennant teams playing at home, meaning three rinks will remain available for social bowls on the grass green.

There will still be:

• No access to the undercover green.

• No access along the walkway directly in front of the club.

• Access to the club through the front doors only.

• Access to the grass green via the main road.

Thursday 3 September

We are scheduled to have access restored to the bottom stairs, including access to the bowls storage room, clubhouse and walkway.

This should allow us to return to bowling North/South on the undercover green. However, there may still be strict movement restrictions around the affected areas, so please take care and follow any signage or directions provided.

Friday 4 September

We are scheduled to have access restored to the middle area between the two greens. At this stage, access to the grass green will be closed, with bowling expected to continue on the undercover green.

Important

Please note that this is our current scheduled plan, and we may need to be flexible throughout the week depending on how the works progress.There may also be some odour around the club while the sealing products are being used.

We ask everyone for your patience and understanding while these works are completed. Please take extra care around the affected areas and follow any temporary signage or directions from staff. We will keep everyone updated throughout next week regarding any changes or impacts, including arrangements for Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September.
