Member Spotlight

A massive congratulations to Gary Tyrrell, who recently competed in the Adaptive Lawn Bowls Festival, organised and sponsored by Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT.

The event features five adaptive categories, including Physical Disability, Deaf Bowls, Blind Bowlers, Intellectual Disabilities, and Bowling Arm.

Gary competed in the Mixed Category, coming away with a silver medal in the Fours. He also claimed a gold medal in the Bowling Arm Pairs category.

Well done, Gary - an outstanding achievement!

Pink Day Reminder

Friendly reminder that our Annual Pink Day is coming up next Thursday!

This is the perfect opportunity to pull out your best pink shirt in support of a great cause -Breast Cancer Awareness. There will be fines throughout the morning, and all proceeds from the raffle will also be donated.

Please make sure you’ve got your name on the sheet for a 9:00am start next Thursday.

Jack Attack Update

We’ve decided to cancel Jack Attack for this year due to low numbers and the busy period ahead. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We’ll be back next year with a fresh concept, so keep an ear out for updates.

Christmas Gift

This weekend we’re kicking of our very first Christmas Gift Competition, a points-based event running during our Saturday Socials from 22nd November to 20th December.

Points will be awarded for participation each week, as well as for wins throughout the competition. The Saturday Social format will remain the same, but the start time will shift to 12:00 pm, finishing at 3:00 pm with the bell.

There will be prize money up for grabs at the end of the five weeks, proudly sponsored by Stabilise Physiotherapy!

On the final Saturday, the BAC will host a short presentation, with light refreshments and a drink over the bar to celebrate a fantastic year and wrap up the competition in style.

We look forward to seeing everyone out on the greens and getting into the festive spirit!
