Match Committee Update

As the Bowls Coordinator role continues to evolve alongside the services provided through BowlsLink, the Bowls Advisory Committee (BAC) has taken the opportunity to refresh the way all Club Championships and tournaments are managed and delivered at our club.

As part of this update, the Competition Committee will now assume responsibility for the delivery and management of all Club Championships and tournaments, effective immediately.

The Competition Committee will comprise five (5) members, including:

• Two (2) BAC members (one of whom will act as Chairperson),
• The Bowls Coordinator, and
• Two (2) full bowling and/or life members, who must have been registered bowling members for a minimum of three (3) years.

This change is designed to better align our competition structures with current systems and to ensure a smooth, consistent, and well-supported experience for all members.

On behalf of the BAC and the membership, we would like to formally acknowledge and sincerely thank the Match Committee for their time, dedication, and hard work over many years. Their contribution has played an important role in the success of our competitions and the broader club, and their efforts are genuinely appreciated.

We thank all involved for their commitment and look forward to this next phase in the continued development of our competition framework.

Australian Indoor Singles Reminder

Friendly reminder our club will be hosting the Australian Indoor Singles Qualifying for the first time from 16–19 January. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our club on the big stage.

As a result, all social bowls and roll-ups will be unavailable during play over the weekend. This means Saturday and Sunday social bowls will not be played until matches have concluded for the day.
