CLUB UPDATES

Congratulations to Andrew Weaver on reaching the quarterfinals in the State Champion of Champions Singles!

Andrew took down several top-level bowlers, including former State player Gerard Beath, with a strong 25-20 win.

Unfortunately, he went down to Jack McShane 25-12 in the quarterfinal, but the whole club is proud of your efforts, Andrew.

Lohman Triples Update:

Due to the weather, we currently have three quarterfinal games still to be completed, so the new scheduled dates are as follows:

• Quarterfinals: Saturday, 5th July (PM)
• Semi-finals: Sunday, 6th July (PM)
• Final: Sunday, 13th July (PM)

Mixed Fours will wrap up on the 21st and 22nd of June.

As some of you may know, my wife Helen and I are relocating to Albion Park approximately 11 June 25.

I joined CHBC as my first bowling club in July 24 and I would like to thank one and all for the way I was accepted int the bowling family. The friendship, camaraderie and guidance provided to me has been exceptional. To those who have assisted in my bowling skills (or lack thereof!) I thank you for your patience.

I have been honoured to play Pennants and more so to witness the Grade 3 and Pennant Cup side win their respective finals. A great day for the club. Go Chargers!

I will be bowling out of Albion Park Bowling Club when I settle in down the coast and if anyone is down there for any reason I would love to catch up.

I wish the club good fortunes for the green/Club renovations and wish the bowlers every success they strive for.

My last bowling day at CHBC is planned to be Sat 7 June 25.
