PENNANT UPDATE

Open Gender Pennants Round 1 is here, and the club is ready to charge into the pennant season after the very successful pennant launch over the weekend! Best of luck to our bowlers in the charge towards a Pennant flag!

Pennant training is still going strong, with great numbers - 25+ players at each session! Sessions are on Tuesdays at 10:00 AM and will continue throughout the season. Players are also encouraged to practise in their own time.

The draw for the Open Gender Pennants is now available on the Metro website, with copies for Castle Hill also available at the club and in recent emails. In the Castle Hill draw, you'll see that we will host three games in the morning: one in Round 1 and two in Round 7. For the remaining five rounds where we're hosting three grades at home, we've been fortunate enough to secure facilities at Toongabbie Sports. This adjustment is necessary because Green Number One doesn't meet the pennant standards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. 

Additionally, the club has entered a team into the Pennant Cup this year. Matches will be held at Greenlees, NBC Sports, and Merrylands. This provides an opportunity for pennant players who may not compete each week to get involved and experience the competitive level of play.

President Open Gender Pennant Season Message

Due to the high number of member nominations (95) to represent our Club in this Open Gender Pennant Season, we will be fielding six Pennant teams and a Pennant Cup team. This marks the largest number of teams Castle Hill Bowling Club has ever entered into a Pennant competition.

In line with Club tradition, if all six Pennant teams win on the same day, each participating bowler will receive a celebratory drink back at the Club that day.

To all our members representing Castle Hill Bowling Club this Pennant Season, thank you for your commitment. I wish you good bowling and every success.
