CLUB UPDATES

We’re pleased to share the latest progress on the club works.

Plumbing for the rainwater retention tank has commenced, and trenching for carpark drainage is underway. The rear stairs have been demolished, with new footings concreted and the new stair structure currently being formed.

Looking ahead, carpark trenching will be completed, the rear stairs will be concreted, and paths around the greens will begin to take shape. Preparation works on the bowling greens will also continue as we move forward.

Bowls Updates

Over 40's Pairs

Massive congratulations to Darren Garton and Andrew Weaver, who have qualified for the State Over-40s Pairs to be held at Yamba Bowling Club on the 6th and 7th of December.

The gents took care of business in the qualifying final with a commanding 17–6 win over D. Zoller and S. Robinson from NBC Sports.

Well done, and the whole club is behind you as you head to State!

Metro North-West Prestation Night

The Region Presentation night is coming up and all the details can be found below

Date and Time - Thursday 16 October 2025 - 6:45pm for a 7pm Start
Venue - Club Merrylands
Pricing - $65pp or $600 for a table of 10 (tables of 6, 8 or 10 available)

Drill Folder

Rolling up is great, but if you’re tracking your practice you’ll never really know if you’ve improved. To help, we’ve put together a drills folder with a few key exercises you can add into your weekly practice.

The folder is in the corner of the bowls alcove and there are plenty of copies for you to take. You can also make use of the new Rebound Disc practice system, which is also in the corner. This can be taken out to set up heads and practice specific shots. An instruction sheet is inside the yellow tub to guide you.
